New buildings are being built everywhere. Sometimes it takes a very long time for any building is going up, and I wonder what they are doing in there, behind the blue or green metal wall.
The foundation doesn’t look very nice. It is a lot of work to build it, but nobody will ever see it, once the house is built. In order to build a strong house, the foundation is very important. The foundation makes the house stand, even if there is a strong wind or an earthquake. The taller the building is the deeper the foundation needs to be.
In our marriages we also need strong a foundation. What are we building our marriage on? It is not enough to fall in love and then get married. Many marriages end in a divorce because the foundation was not very strong. How can we build a strong foundation in our marriage, so that it will last for a life time?
A strong marriage doesn’t happen automatically! Right from the beginning of our marriage, when we are still in love and want to spend all our time together, we need to start building on the foundation of our marriage. Both husband and wife need to be involved in this process.
